Fong’s Pizza was opened on January 26th, 2009 by a group of local owners. The previous restaurant in the downtown location was King-Ying-Low, Des Moines’ oldest Chinese restaurant since 1908. It inspired the Asian influence in Fong's menu and decor.

Are you looking for a unique experience? Think of a 'frozen in time' dive bar offering Asian-inspired pizzas & appetizers, sandwiches, salads and desserts. We also offer gluten-free & vegan selections. Be sure to try a tasty tiki drink or one of our delicious beers; many of which are brewed here in Iowa. Our fun-loving staff is here to show you a great time as you explore Fongolian territory.

Opener: Sriracha Chicken Bites

Bringing an old menu favorite back!   Tender chicken bites with a Sriracha sesame seed breading; fried and served with your choice of ranch or bleu cheese.

Pizza: Spice!

Congratulations to Bailey Stuart for her winning creation at Fong’s Fest.  She won free pizza for a year and her pizza is featured at both locations.  We start with a honey sriracha base, then add mozzarella, jalapeno, green pepper, roasted red pepper, onion, Colby jack, pepper jack, spicy Soppressata salami and a honey sriracha finish.
