Fong’s Pizza was opened on January 26th, 2009 by a group of local owners. The previous restaurant in the downtown location was King-Ying-Low, Des Moines’ oldest Chinese restaurant since 1908. It inspired the Asian influence in Fong's menu and decor.

Vegetable Pin Wheels – A house seasoned cream cheese, layered on a flour tortilla and paired with red bell peppers, spinach, green onion, and carrots. Gently and tightly rolled up and cooled for several hours. Cut into coins and served.
New Years Resolution Pizza – A garlic butter base, and a Cajun sesame seed crust. Topped with red onions, ricotta and mozzarella. After backed, it is topped with a layer of sour cream, seasoned salad lettuce, and garnished with feta, roma tomatoes, and avocado. Finished with a sweet chili lattice.
