Fong’s Pizza was opened on January 26th, 2009 by Half Court Press, a sister company of Full Court Press. Gwen Schlepphorst’s dream of a delicious pizza place with late-night slices was paired with Jeff Bruning’s idea of a tiki bar. Being that we took over the location of King-Ying Low, Des Moines’ oldest Chinese restaurant, we wanted to keep Asian inspiration on our menu. You can enjoy hand-rolled crab rangoons, family recipe egg rolls, Chinese ribs & move on to our Asian-inspired & traditional pizzas with many happy endings for dessert. Our décor is a mix of Chinese, Oriental, Polynesian & Italian with a 40’s & 50’s feel. Think of a ‘frozen in time’ dive bar with delicious food, great service & tasty tiki drinks that pack a real punch.

We have happy hour Monday through Friday 2 pm - 6 pm with free pizza from 4 pm - 6 pm. We also have Sunday Fun-day with happy hour prices all day long. Our happy hour features $2 drafts and $5 pitchers of Bud, Bud Light, Miller Lite & Kirin Ichiban. We offer $2 off large tiki drinks, $1 off individual tiki drinks, $1 off wells & $.50 off bottled beer.

Lunches are fantastic with $2.75 slices from 11am - 2 pm and a $5 lunch special featuring a slice, side salad and soda. On the flip-side we offer late-night slices from 10 pm - 2 am Sunday through Wednesday and 10 pm - 3 am Thursday through Saturday. Our full menu is available 7 days a week from 11am - midnight.
